The Louisiana State University Office of the Dean of Students was established in 1978 by the joining of the offices of the Dean of Men and the Dean of Women. Between 1932 and 1942 the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs directly oversaw the two offices of the Dean of Men and the Dean of Women. For the ten-year period that this office was in place, J.
